THE Journal Readers Recognize Lexia Learning as Most Valuable Ed Tech Provider
Literacy software provider earns three platinum Readers’ Choice awards for Most Valuable Technology, Best Reading Program and Best Personalized Learning Tool

BOSTON, Nov. 14, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As education continues shifting towards digital learning, teachers have grown to depend on technology platforms and services to support instruction. Lexia Learning, an award-winning provider of literacy assessment and instructional tools for K-12 students, today announced it has been recognized by THE Journal’s 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards as the most valuable technology provider in K-12 classrooms. Nominated by educators across the U.S., Lexia earned platinum standing, surpassing all other solutions, in the categories of Most Valuable Technology in Schools, Best Reading Program and Best Adaptive/Personalized Learning Tool. Readers also selected Lexia as one of the top three technologies currently used in schools.

For its second annual Readers’ Choice Awards program, THE Journal’s staff invited members of the education community to submit the best products, providers and services in any category of their choosing. More than 1,000 individuals participated in this year’s submission process. According to THE Journal, when readers were asked to name the most valuable technology in their school in an open-ended question, the majority of respondents named Lexia as a top provider.

“The [myLexia] teacher database is one of [a] kind. It allows the teacher the ability to pinpoint just what the student needs,” said one respondent. “The teacher is the 'miracle' worker of the program, and Lexia provides the necessary information to improve student achievement.”

Lexia Reading Core5®, Lexia’s flagship product, provides differentiated literacy instruction for pre-K-5 students of all abilities. Teachers are able to access real-time data within the program in order to customize lesson plans for each student’s needs. Lexia also provides an adaptive assessment tool, Lexia RAPID Assessment™, which identifies and monitors language and reading skills among K-12 students.

“One of our greatest measures of success is the positive impact our products have on students’ lives,” said Nick Gaehde, president of Lexia. “We are extremely pleased with this recognition from our customers and proud of the integral role we play in supporting educators every day.”

This honor adds to Lexia’s growing list of accolades from the education community. In 2016 alone, Lexia received Tech & Learning’s Best of Show Award and Tech & Learning’s Award of Excellence. To view all of Lexia’s awards, please visit
