|Rosetta Stone Appoints Judy Verses to Lead Global Institutional Business|
ARLINGTON, Va., Oct 18, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Rosetta Stone Inc. (NYSE:RST), a leading provider of technology-based language-learning solutions, announced today the appointment of Judy Verses as president, Global Institutional Business. Reporting directly to Tom Adams, president and chief executive officer of Rosetta Stone, Verses will be responsible for all of Rosetta Stone's institutional business worldwide. Rosetta Stone serves institutional customers in the education, government and corporate markets.

Judy joins Rosetta Stone from Blackboard, where she served as president and chief client officer responsible for global sales and marketing. Previously, she was president and COO of Blackboard Learn. Prior to joining Blackboard, Judy held several senior leadership roles at Verizon, where she was responsible for the successful launch of Verizon FiOS. Some of her roles included SVP marketing for Verizon's portfolio of voice, video and data products; SVP Broadband Solutions; vice president for business sales; and vice president/general manager of small business sales. Judy began her career with Xerox after earning her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
