Leading Educational Experts Will Address Critical Aspects of Teaching World Languages and Global Studies

ARLINGTON, VA - Nov. 20, 2013 - Rosetta Stone Inc. (NYSE:RST), a leading provider of education technology solutions, announced today that it will host four sessions led by education administrators and experts during the 2013 American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Annual Convention and World Languages Expo in Orlando, Florida, November 22-24.

Rosetta Stone has chosen five notable presenters to speak at its booth during the ACTFL event:

- Tom Vander Ark, CEO of the learning advocacy firm Getting Smart, will give a presentation titled "The Next Generation of Language Learning," a follow-up to his earlier session on November 23. Both discussions will examine world language acquisition as an important component of global competency for today's students and how the growing availability of high-quality online and blended learning resources can expand student access to world language instruction and global competency.

- Nakia Douglas, principal of the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, a magnet university preparatory secondary school for boys in Dallas, Texas, will host a session titled "Developing Students for the Global Society."

- Julie Evans, CEO of national education nonprofit organization Project Tomorrow, will speak on "Adopting Technology for the World Language Classroom" ahead of a longer presentation that she will give later at the conference. Both of Evans's presentations will focus on the findings of the latest 'Speak Up Survey,' a collaborative effort between Rosetta Stone Education and Project Tomorrow that elicited responses from 56,000 K-12 World Language educators in the United States. Attendees will learn about these educators' experiences, insights, and desires, as well as their use of technology to improve personal productivity, personalize student learning, and maximize 21st century learners' achievement.

- Gisele Vazquez Falls, the world languages department chair at Tallwood High School Global Studies and World Languages Academy in Virginia Beach, Virginia, will speak to session participants about "Building 21st Century Language Skills."

- Leah Caceres Lutzow, Chair of Online World Language Labs at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin, will host a session centering on her institution's "21st Century Language Lab." Her presentation examines how this virtual language lab complements traditional classroom instruction to build speaking confidence and improve retention among students.

"As a partner to teachers, we believe it is important to make these critical resources accessible to teachers as they explore new approaches to language learning," said Judy Verses, Rosetta Stone's President, Global Enterprise & Education. "These are some of the most sought after authorities in education today, and we are delighted to have them share their expertise at this important conference."

Convention attendees can sit in on the presentations at Rosetta Stone's booth, #406. A complete schedule of the speakers is available at
