ARLINGTON, VA (June 16, 2015) - Rosetta Stone Inc. (NYSE:RST), a world leader in technology-based learning solutions, today announced that its popular myLexia® and Fit Brains learning apps are available for the Apple Watch(TM). Leaders in the literacy education and brain fitness categories, respectively, both apps have been optimized for the Apple Watch and provide users with new features and improved functionality.  The myLexia and Fit Brains apps for Apple Watch are available now in the App Store.

"We understand the transformative effect technology can have and continuously strive to take personalized learning to the next level," said John Hass, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Rosetta Stone. "We see the impact our Fit Brains and Lexia programs have on people's lives, whether they're looking to exercise their brain on-the-go, or in the case of Lexia, helping children learn to read. The Apple Watch is taking wearable technology to the next level, allowing us to be that much more accessible to our customers."

Rosetta Stone has helped millions of students across the country improve their reading skills through its Lexia Reading® Core5® product,  a technology-based reading program for students of all abilities in pre-kindergarten through grade five. Built on 30 years of educational research, the program is designed to accelerate fundamental literacy skills development and provides a personalized learning path for each student with scaffolding and explicit instruction that supports students if they struggle. The myLexia App is the educator interface for Lexia Reading Core5 and is designed to provide teachers and administrators unprecedented mobile access to real-time student skills data and norm-referenced performance measures. Its innovative embedded Assessment Without Testing® technology gives teachers and administrators mobile access to school-wide, classroom, and individual student performance data and actionable lesson plans, without stopping to administer a test. With just a glance at their wrist, teachers will now be able to see which students need help, which students need more time in Lexia, and which students should be celebrated for completing a level in the program. Teachers can also access a list of students grouped by specific skills for individual or small group instruction, as well as a detailed view of each student's performance.

Fit Brains is an accessible and easy-to-use online program that targets crucial brain skills such as memory, concentration, problem-solving, processing speed, language and visual-spatial recognition. Fit Brains for Apple Watch is designed to help people more effectively integrate healthy brain activity into their everyday lives, with three new "warm-up" brain games specifically designed for the Apple Watch, allowing users to test their memory, concentration and speed on the go. Users will also have access to a suite of brain performance tracking tools, like Weekly Goal Setting and Performance Comparisons with users in a similar demographic. The light, 20-30 second brain games are designed to complement the existing iOS app, providing short breaks from long periods of repetitious activity, in order to refocus the mind and improve overall mental productivity. With more than 13 million users worldwide, the Fit Brains Trainer App has become a top education tool and continuously garners high user ratings.
